Major Events Season kicks off in Puerto Vallarta. The destination boasts a busy schedule of high-profile events, including the Puerto Vallarta by UTMB 2026 World Championship. March and April bring a series of major events to Puerto Vallarta, including conventions, medical conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sporting competitions, as well as gastronomic and cultural events.
From March 5th to 7th, VINOMA Fest 2026, the grand wine and food pairing festival, will take place, bringing together more than 50 national and international wineries along the waterfront. From March 10 to 12, the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center will host the 31st edition of Gala Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit, an event that brings together key business partners from ten countries—including Canada, the United States, and Mexico—with the destination’s hotels and tourism service providers.
Following this, FairyLand Puerto Vallarta 2026, the second annual queer house music festival, will take place from March 12 to 15 at Mantamar Beach Club. It will be four consecutive days of international DJs, pool, sun, and sand.
From March 12 to 22, the atmosphere will be filled with live music at the traditional Spring Jazz Festival, set against the backdrop of Los Muertos Beach. Ten days of free, open-air performances by leading figures in the genre will be featured.
The Damajuana Raicilla Festival returns from March 13-15 for its ninth edition, an event dedicated to the region’s traditional spirit, hosted by the Vallarta Institute of Culture (IVC), located on the eastern end of Cuale River Island. https://www.facebook.com/DamajuanaOficial
That same weekend—March 14-15—the third annual PVR Michelada Festival will take place, featuring more than 30 exhibitors of the drink and regional cuisine. This year, the festival will be held in Puerto Mágico.
From March 18-20, the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center will host Exphotel Vallarta 2026, where more than 200 suppliers from the hotel and restaurant sectors will present their products and services to approximately 2,500 potential buyers.
For cycling enthusiasts, the Puerto Vallarta Tourist Route 2026 will take place on March 21st, a long-distance event with three routes to choose from: 21k, 72k, and 100k. Runners can enjoy the SEAPAL Vallarta Half Marathon and a 5k race on March 22nd.
On March 26th, the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center will host the 30th annual Food & Travel Reader Awards, which recognize the best in the Mexican food and hospitality industry.
As for concerts, Puerto Vallarta boasts a stellar lineup featuring superstars Christian Nodal and Marco Antonio Solís, who will perform on April 9 and 30, respectively—both at the VidantaWorld esplanade—while on April 26, six-time Latin GRAMMY® winner Kany García will take the stage at the International Convention Center esplanade.
Two international sporting events are also on the horizon. From April 16 to 18, Puerto Vallarta will host the world’s most iconic trail running series for the fourth time: the Ultra Trail Mont-Blanc UTMB® World Series, which brings together the sport’s top athletes from 42 countries. https://www.facebook.com/mexicobyutmb
Then, on April 19, the Puerto Vallarta Marathon 2026 will be held. This seventh edition features a completely revamped course that will take runners through the city’s most emblematic locations, starting and finishing at the Malecón Arches. The event consists of four athletic races: a 42k marathon, a 21k half marathon, and 5k and 10k fun runs.
Closing out April, Puerto Vallarta will host important medical conventions and congresses: the 56th National Congress of Pediatrics (CONAPEME) from April 22 to 25, which expects 3,000 specialists; the 35th Annual Congress of the Mexican Society of Pediatric Neurology (SMNP) from April 27 to May 2, with 600 participants; and the 75th National Congress of the Mexican Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (SMORLCCC) from April 28 to May 2, which will bring together 1,500 physicians and speakers from Germany, the United States, India, and Italy.
This robust events calendar demonstrates the organizers’ confidence in the destination, maintaining its position as the leading venue for national and international events on the Mexican Pacific coast.
