Craft Beer Micro Brewery in Puerto Vallarta

0

Over the past several years, numerous breweries have joined longtime Mexican craft brewers. While Mexico City is the epicenter of the movement with more than a dozen craft brewers, many medium-to-large cities with least one or more decent brewery, like in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit.

Craft beer is a beer that has been made by craft breweries. They produce smaller amounts of beer, typically less than large breweries, and are often independently owned.

Craft beers are beers made with only traditional ingredients in smaller batches.
Regular beers are beers made in corporate breweries, usually with non-traditional ingredients such as low quality grains and extra water in order for the company to boost their profits.

Main Types of Ale Beers

Pale ale. This is probably the most consumed type of craft beer around the world. ...
Indian pale ale (IPA). This type of craft beer is known for its bitterness. ...
Stout. This dark and full-bodied type of craft beer is known for its rich taste. ...
Porter. ...
Wheat beer. ...
Belgian ale. ...
Amber ale.

Simply put, craft beer is a beer that is not brewed by one of the big “mega-brewery” corporations. More often than not, when the phrase craft beer is used, this is what it means.

For a beer to be labeled as a craft beer, it should be made using real malts.
Because of this, craft beers are more flavorful and have better texture and dimension. Another major difference between craft beers and normal beer is that craft beer is often left unfiltered and unpasteurized.

However, defining “craft” is a lot trickier:

Is it better in quality? While many brewers do not stinge on specialty malts and hops
Is it produced in limited quantities?
Is it produced using traditional methods?
Is it made by independent breweries?

The IPA – the most popular style within the craft beer industry bar none,

A few craft beers may have a lower ABV than mainstream brews, but craft brews are generally stronger than their mainstream counterparts. One craft beer can contain the alcohol content of two to four ordinary beers, therefore moderation is key when drinking these

Taste. The fundamental value of craft beer is that craft beer drinkers are willing to pay a little more for beer that holds more taste, flavor, variety, and alcohol. The magical flavors craft beers offer are finely tuned, tweaked, and aged to give a delicious taste and quality you do not find in the mass produced beers.

Unlike conventional beer, craft beers provide better health benefits due to their varied and high content of phenolic compounds (PCs) and also due to their alcohol content, but the latter is controversial.

Whether your chosen craft beer is sweet, bitter, dark, or something else, craft beers are uniformly flavorful. This is because craft beer companies use high quality ingredients that you can really taste. Inexpensive, mass market beers often taste watery—not a desirable beer flavor!

49 percent of the respondents drink craft beer at least once a week and 91 percent prefer craft beer over big-brand beer.

There are at least 1,400 brewers in Mexico now though, with an output that is doubling every two years.

The largest share of craft beer consumers are aged between 30 and 39, with a significantly higher proportion of males. Craft beer consumers typically reach for pale ales, lagers, and IPAs, with pale ale on top as the most consumed beer style

We will soon ad the list of Micro Breweries in Puerto Vallarta and other stores where you may find a large variety of Craft Beers from all over Mexico and the world.

Our Private Tour Guide will take you all around the different Micro Breweries in Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding.

“Tourism invests in a green future,” the celebration will highlight the initiatives that are poised to drive tourism recovery, whilst advocating for sector collaboration on programs that create decent employment, inclusive economic growth, vibrant and sustainable local communities.

UNWTO has identified investments as one of the key priorities for tourism’s recovery and future growth and development. For World Tourism Day 2023, UNWTO highlights the need for more and better-targeted investments for people, for planet and for prosperity. Now is the time for new and innovative solutions, not just traditional investments that promote and underpin economic growth and productivity.

World Tourism Day 2023 will be a call to action to the international community, governments, multilateral financial institutions, development partners and private sector investors to unite around a new tourism investment strategy. https://www.unwto.org/

The power of tourism is enormous. But it is not a force that can be taken for granted. Instead, it must be supported, above all with investment.

Eco Tourism Adventures Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico/ https://promovisionpv.com/eco-tourism-adventures-puerto-vallarta-jalisco-mexico/

This World Tourism Day we recognize the theme of Tourism and Green Investments.
The theme could not be more timely. 2023 was the hottest year on record. And extreme weather events like heat waves could become the new normal. Tourism needs to adapt. For this, we need to rethink how our sector is financed. We need to make it easier for investors of all kinds to support tourism projects with the potetial to make a difference. Looking further ahead, we need investments that can empower tourism to build a better and fairer future for all. Once again, I wish you all a peaceful and inspiring World Tourism Day. The One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme is one of the six programmes of the One Planet network and started operating in February 2015.

By leading the implementation of the Programme, UNWTO has supported translating the complexity of SCP into actionable areas for tourism stakeholders, bringing added value to more than 700 members, and generating dialogue between environment and tourism stakeholders. The Programme has also positioned circularity and sustainable consumption and production as key strategies to accelerate climate action in tourism as well as the blue economy.

The implementation of activities under the One Planet network is currently guided by the Global Strategy on Sustainable Consumption and Production 2023-2030 which identifies tourism as a high impact sector. The Global Strategy was welcomed by the UN General Assembly in December 2022 (see Resolution A/RES/77/162).

Vétérinaires et soins aux animaux, Voyager, Vivre à Puerto Vallarta, La SPCA a besoin d’aide.

0

Veterinarians & Animal Care Living in Puerto Vallarta SPCA needs Help

Many folks vacation to Puerto Vallarta and during their stay they fall in love with a homeless cat or dog. What do you do? Take it home with you of course! Here are a few tips regarding what steps should be taken to make sure your new family member receives the frequent flyer miles he/she so deserves. IT’S EASY! Please consult with your airline as each has different criteria.

The very first step would be to take the rescue to a local veterinarian. The animal will be examined for any overt physical issues and treated for internal/external parasites (fleas, ticks and worms). Check out our list of recommended vets in the Puerto Vallarta area.
A few tests should be performed to ensure you have a healthy animal. These include a test for distemper and the parvovirus as well as for ehrlichia, a tick borne disease which is not contagious but deadly if left untreated. Approximately 80 to 90% of street dogs carry this deadly disease yet can remain asymptomatic for an extended period of time. This disease is not well known outside of Mexico, and therefore may not be recognized.
Ask your vet what YOUR animal needs in order to fly home with you.
Obtain a health certificate (Carta de Salud) from the vet as it is required by all airlines, i.e. a rabies vaccine is required for pets over 12 weeks of age.
You must reserve a spot on the plane for your animal. You can probably even do this after your flight is booked. Some airlines welcome furry friends and go an extra mile to make your travels pleasant for all.
Small animals can fly in the cabin under the seat in front of you. Your airline will provide the details (hard or soft kennel – and size restrictions).
Larger animals need to fly in cargo. Again, your airline will provide the details. If your animal must go in cargo, be sure to check with your airline for specific restrictions. For example, there are blackout dates due to extremes in temperature at the departure and/or arrival locations.

NOTE: Kennels are more affordable in supermarkets in Canada and the US than in Vallarta. So, if you KNOW you are going to rescue an animal, consider purchasing your kennel up north and bringing it with you to Vallarta. Check with your airline to see if they would accept an empty kennel on your trip to Vallarta, and if there is a charge to do so.

For more information you should check with your individual airline and beware that policies are always subject to change.

Does part of your move to Puerto Vallarta include a furry family member? Bringing a pet into Mexico in 2024 requires navigating various regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet.

These rules are essential for preventing the spread of disease and ensuring that pets are well cared for during their journey. While the process may seem a little daunting, we have the steps to get you and your four-legged friend on your way to your new life in Mexico.

To legally bring a pet into Mexico, you must first visit a licensed veterinarian in your home country to obtain a health certificate. This certificate must be issued within 10 days of your pet’s arrival in Mexico and should document that your pet is free from infectious diseases and has received all required vaccinations. Specifically, dogs and cats need to be vaccinated against rabies, and the rabies certificate should be valid for at least 30 days before arrival but not more than a year old.1

When entering in Puerto Vallarta by air, you will need to present these documents to the Mexican animal health authorities at airport. Your pet will undergo a brief physical inspection to check for signs of illness or distress. If fleas or ticks are found, you may be required to seek veterinary treatment before your pet is allowed to leave the airport facility.

Another key element is to have a crate or carrier that meets International Air Transport Association (IATA) which will ensure your pet’s comfort and safety during transit. It’s also important to note that during summer months, pets are not permitted to travel in the lower cargo areas of aircraft, due to hot temperatures.

Mexico currently does not require a quarantine period for pets that meet all the regulatory requirements. However, you should stay updated with the latest information from the Mexican Government’s agricultural health authority (SENASICA) as regulations can change and guidance here is only current as per time of publication.
