Jalisco FITUR 2026 . Jalisco participación en FITUR 2026. El estado concretó 803 reuniones de negocio y activó 14 eventos institucionales y estratégicos durante la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR), celebrada en Madrid.

La participación de Jalisco generó más de 250 mil visualizaciones digitales y 630 mil impresiones en acciones de promoción, en un evento que registró una asistencia total de 255 mil personas.

Con una agenda estratégica y objetivos concretos, Jalisco reafirma su liderazgo internacional como destino turístico tras su participación en la 46ª edición de la Feria Internacional de Turismo 2026, (FITUR), uno de los encuentros más relevantes del sector a nivel global que congregó a 255 mil asistentes de la industria.

A través de la Secretaría de Turismo de Jalisco y con la participación de los fideicomisos de Turismo de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, interior del estado y Costalegre, y de la Oficina de Visitantes y Convenciones, la comisión concretó 803 reuniones de negocios, lo que permitió consolidar alianzas estratégicas orientadas a fortalecer la competitividad y la conectividad aérea en el marco del año del Mundial.

La delegación estatal, encabezada por Pablo Lemus Navarro, Gobernador de Jalisco, Mauro Garza Marín, Coordinador General Estratégico de Crecimiento y Desarrollo Económico, y Michelle Fridman Hirsch, Secretaria de Turismo, implementó en Madrid una estrategia integral con 14 eventos institucionales y estratégicos, incluyendo FITUR WOMAN, un encuentro con agentes de viaje y la participación en el World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), que contó con la asistencia de su presidenta, Gloria Guevara.

Entre los eventos más destacados también se encontró AVORIS, que contó con la presencia de Vicente Fenollar Molina, Presidente Ejecutivo de Ávoris Corporación Empresarial.

Respecto a las acciones más relevantes el mandatario estatal, Pablo Lemus Navarro, y la Secretaria Michelle Fridman Hirsch, participaron en los Foros Santander y BBVA, así como en espacios de posicionamiento internacional, incluyendo el Encuentro con Medios de Europa Press.

Se atendieron 48 entrevistas con medios globales, lo que amplía la difusión de Jalisco como destino turístico en mercados prioritarios.

La presencia institucional de Jalisco se reforzó mediante actos protocolarios en los pabellones de Jalisco y de México, además de activaciones en calle ante públicos especializados y público en general, acciones que confirmaron su papel como impulsor de la proyección turística nacional y como destino referente de México en Europa.

En materia de promoción, el estado impactó hasta el momento a más de 250 mil personas a través de una estrategia de comunicación digital con más de 26 creadores de contenido turístico

De forma complementaria, se generaron 230 mil impresiones mediante publicidad exterior dentro del recinto IFEMA y 400 mil impresiones adicionales en ubicaciones tácticas de la ciudad de Madrid.

Como parte de la estrategia experiencial, más de 5 mil personas participaron en activaciones que incluyeron ballet folklórico, floreo de reata, demostraciones de fútbol, presentaciones de bailarines y la participación de creadores de contenido con audiencia en el mercado europeo.

Estas acciones se complementaron con degustaciones de tequila, cerveza y gastronomía jalisciense como eje de la promoción turística, proyectando de manera efectiva la identidad cultural y culinaria de Jalisco. Se sumaron más de 3 mil 500 dinámicas lúdicas con profesionales de la industria.

La agenda contempló la participación en foros de alto prestigio como la México Hospitality Expo, Condé Nast Traveler, donde se reconoció a Jalisco como uno de los mejores destinos internacionales, y el Travel Pop Up. Estas participaciones afianzan al estado como un destino competitivo e innovador.

Uno de los ejes prioritarios fue la promoción de Guadalajara como sede del Mundial 2026, mediante el fortalecimiento de las relaciones institucionales con la FIFA y la presentación de la oferta de hospedaje del estado, que alcanzará 90 mil habitaciones para 2027.

Fridman Hirsch reafirmó el potencial de Jalisco, respaldado por dos de los aeropuertos con mayor conectividad de México y una infraestructura turística de clase mundial, además de destacar las expectativas de afluencia de visitantes para 2026.

“No es de extrañar que Jalisco haya atraído el año pasado 34 millones de turistas, y que esa cifra crecerá este 2026 en doble dígito gracias sobre todo a la Copa del Mundo de futbol, que se jugará entre México, Estados Unidos y Canadá, y que tendrá en Guadalajara una de las sedes principales y la más mexicana. Sólo en Jalisco se espera que la Copa del Mundo atraiga a 3 millones de visitantes”, dijo la Secretaria de Turismo.

Con estas gestiones el Gobierno de Jalisco refrenda su compromiso con la diversificación de mercados emisores y la atracción de turismo de alto impacto.

La exitosa participación en FITUR 2026 marca el inicio de un año estratégico para el estado, que contempla la realización de ITB Americas en Guadalajara y la consolidación de rutas aéreas directas con Europa, con lo que Jalisco avanza en su posicionamiento como el corazón turístico de México.

Puerto Vallarta en FITUR 2026.Con una nutrida representación de su industria turística, el destino fue pieza clave en la promoción del Estado de Jalisco. Representado por una comitiva encabezada por el Gobernador de Jalisco, Puerto Vallarta tuvo una destacada presencia en la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR) de Madrid, España, donde ha promocionado sus incontables atractivos turísticos ante más de 155 mil profesionales de la industria, entre ellos agentes de viajes, representantes de aerolíneas, tour operadores, empresas de tecnología y otros actores importantes del sector.

En esta cuadragésima sexta edición de FITUR -llevada a cabo del 21 al 25 de enero- se ha buscado consolidar la presencia de la marca turística para una mayor conectividad y así incrementar los flujos turísticos y, con lo anterior, la derrama turística en el destino y el PIB estatal; asimismo, se han fortalecido las relaciones comerciales con aliados estratégicos.

Para proyectar la riqueza cultural, artesanal y gastronómica de Jalisco en el mercado global, el Gobierno del Estado, a través de la Secretaría de Turismo, desplegó una agenda estratégica de alto nivel a lo largo del evento.

Michelle Fridman Hirsh, Secretaria de Turismo, subrayó la relevancia estratégica de esta participación, y destacó que Jalisco no sólo posee una infraestructura de vanguardia con los dos aeropuertos mejor conectados del país, sino que su mayor fortaleza reside en su diversidad.

Puerto Vallarta tuvo una participación histórica con una delegación conformada por numerosos miembros de su industria turística, entre ellos los hoteles Almar, Casa Carmen, Eloísa, El Pescador, Emperador, Hotel Rosita, Las Palmas by the Sea, Marriott, River Park Hotel, The Westin, Tropicana y Velas Resorts, así como la DMC Procesa y proveedores de experiencias River Park y Mantamar Beach Club con su oferta de eventos.

Así, se conformó una delegación bien representada, encabezada por el Gobernador, la Secretaria de Turismo, autoridades municipales, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, CANIRAC, empresarios, miembros del comité técnico y representantes del Fideicomiso de Turismo de Puerto Vallarta, para de manera coordinada generar acuerdos y alianzas.

En conjunto, se fortalecieron las alianzas en mercados como Canadá, Estados Unidos, España, Inglaterra, Polonia, Portugal, República Checa, Colombia y Paraguay, dando continuidad a negociaciones de conectividad con mercados clave de Europa y buscando hermanamiento de ciudades.

A lo largo del evento, se tuvieron más de 60 reuniones con socios comerciales –mayoristas, consorcios, bancos de camas, líneas aéreas, OTAs y agencias de viajes– y también activaciones dirigidas a consumidor final para invitarlos a Jalisco, sede mundialista donde jugará la selección española. Asimismo, se sostuvieron encuentros con más de 300 agentes de viajes convocados por el socio W2M y con medios especializados en turismo.

El ser sede mundialista le dio gran visibilidad a Jalisco, misma que fue aprovechada con numerosas activaciones, un gran stand dentro de la feria y una fuerte representación de sus delegados, atendiendo a diversos segmentos como placer, lujo, circuito, LGBTQ+, deportivo, cultural y de aventura.

Como pieza fundamental de la delegación de Jalisco, la participación de Puerto Vallarta en FITUR 2026 estuvo encaminada a tener impacto en el destino a partir de junio por la fiebre mundialista y finales de año por su gran atractivo turístico y conectividad.

Represented by a delegation headed by the Governor of Jalisco, Puerto Vallarta had a prominent presence at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, where it promoted its countless tourist attractions to more than 155,000 industry professionals, including travel agents, airline representatives, tour operators, technology companies, and other important players in the sector.

At this 46th edition of FITUR—held from January 21 to 25—the focus was on consolidating the tourism brand’s presence to improve connectivity and thus increase tourist flows and, consequently, tourism revenue for the destination and the state’s GDP; it also strengthened commercial relationships with strategic partners.

To showcase Jalisco’s rich cultural, artisanal, and gastronomic heritage to the global market, the State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, implemented a high-level strategic agenda throughout the event.

Michelle Fridman Hirsh, Secretary of Tourism, emphasized the strategic importance of this participation, highlighting that Jalisco not only boasts cutting-edge infrastructure with the two best-connected airports in the country, but that its greatest strength lies in its diversity.

Puerto Vallarta had a historic presence with a delegation comprised of numerous members of its tourism industry, including the hotels Almar, Casa Carmen, Eloísa, El Pescador, Emperador, Hotel Rosita, Las Palmas by the Sea, Marriott, River Park Hotel, The Westin, Tropicana, and Velas Resorts, as well as the DMC Procesa and experience providers River Park and Mantamar Beach Club with their event offerings.

Thus, a well-represented delegation was formed, headed by the Governor, the Secretary of Tourism, municipal authorities, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (Pacific Airport Group), CANIRAC (National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry), business leaders, members of the technical committee, and representatives of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, to collaboratively generate agreements and alliances.

Together, alliances were strengthened in markets such as Canada, the United States, Spain, England, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Colombia, and Paraguay, continuing connectivity negotiations with key European markets and seeking sister city relationships.

Throughout the event, more than 60 meetings were held with business partners—wholesalers, consortiums, hotel banks, airlines, OTAs, and travel agencies—as well as targeted activations aimed at the end consumer to invite them to Jalisco, the World Cup host city where the Spanish national team will play. Meetings were also held with more than 300 travel agents convened by partner W2M and with specialized tourism media outlets.

Hosting the World Cup gave Jalisco significant visibility, which was leveraged through numerous activations, a large booth at the fair, and a strong presence of its delegates, catering to diverse segments such as leisure, luxury, tour operators, LGBTQ+, sports, cultural, and adventure tourism.

As a key component of the Jalisco delegation, Puerto Vallarta’s participation in FITUR 2026 was designed to generate impact for the destination starting in June, fueled by World Cup fever, and continuing through the end of the year, given its strong tourist appeal and connectivity.

Puerto Vallarta Hike El Salto Waterfall. This morning we set out on an adventure into the mountains just outside Puerto Vallarta, destination: El Salto Waterfall along the Rio Cuale.

Instead of driving, we did this the local way. We caught the C04 bus marked “Paso Ancho” from Puerto Vallarta and rode it all the way to the end of the line in Paso Guayabo. That’s where the real adventure begins.

From there, we hiked 5.1 kilometers, about 3.2 miles, each way to reach the waterfall.

The trail is a mix of dirt roads, cobblestone paths, and rugged mountain terrain. Early on, you follow the river valley, surrounded by jungle, birds, and the peaceful sound of flowing water. It already feels like you’re far away from the city.

But do not let the peaceful start fool you, this hike has some challenge to it.

We had two river crossings, so depending on the water level, expect to get your feet wet. Water shoes or sandals definitely help here.

Then comes the climb. The trail heads up and over a mountain ridge above the river valley, which gives you some beautiful jungle views — but it also means a steady uphill push. Take your time, bring water, and enjoy the scenery.

After descending back toward the river, you start to hear it, that unmistakable sound of rushing water. And then suddenly, there it is…

El Salto Waterfall.

A stunning cascade pouring over smooth rock cliffs into a clear swimming hole below. It is the perfect reward after the hike. Cool off, relax on the rocks, and just take in how wild and beautiful this place is.

Overall, we would rate this hike medium difficulty. The distance, river crossings, and mountain climb give you a workout, but it is absolutely doable if you’re reasonably active and prepared.

After hiking back out to Paso Guayabo, we treated ourselves to a well-earned late lunch at Mis Raíces, a great local spot with delicious Mexican food — the perfect ending to an epic day in the mountains.

If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta and want to see more than just the beaches, this hike to El Salto Waterfall via Rio Cuale is a must-do adventure.
