Airlines are adding sun capacity for this winter. At the airport level, the Puerto Vallarta October-to-May winter season was reported up 8% in seats, from 4.9 million to 5.3 million. Key snowbird routes:
Air Canada: new Calgary to Puerto Vallarta service, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, December 10, 2026 to April 10, 2027.
Porter Airlines: new Edmonton to Puerto Vallarta flights, three weekly, starting November 3, with existing jet service from Toronto and other Canadian cities.
Southwest Airlines: new service to Las Vegas and San Diego.
Others: WestJet, Air Transat, Flair and major US carriers also serve PVR.
