Puerto Vallarta is ready to host one of Mexico’s most emblematic culinary celebrations: the 31st edition of the International Gourmet Festival. For ten days, the destination will become a meeting point for food lovers, with experiences that fuse talent, creativity, hospitality, and the flavors that distinguish national and international cuisine.
With more than three decades of history and the cumulative participation of over 750 chefs, the festival will celebrate a new edition in 2026 with 26 participating restaurants, 56 chefs, and 15 scheduled events. Their proposal invites you to discover the culinary diversity of Puerto Vallarta through signature dinners, chef’s tables, gastronomic tours, encounters with culinary students, and experiences that find the perfect complement to each dish in the destination’s natural surroundings.
We don’t celebrate restaurants. We celebrate the craft of cooking.
The activities will begin on Thursday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m., with the official opening of the Grand Gourmet Village at TierraLuna Gardens, within the Garza Blanca Preserve hotel. Under the theme “Neon Under the Sea,” this evening will bring together chefs, restaurants, brands, visitors, and representatives of the gastronomic community in a celebration that will combine creativity, flavors, and an ambiance that will illuminate the Pacific Ocean.
Over the following days, attendees can enjoy a program designed to explore different expressions of contemporary cuisine, learn about the work of renowned culinary figures, and discover new offerings in some of the most representative gastronomic spaces in Puerto Vallarta and the region.

Among the featured activities is the South Coast Gourmet Safari, scheduled for November 16, with a tour of the restaurants Le Kliff, Amixtli, and Karuma. This experience will allow participants to enjoy diverse culinary offerings while discovering the landscapes and scenery that distinguish the southern area of Puerto Vallarta.
On November 17, Café des Artistes will host “La Noche de las Estrellas” (The Night of the Stars), a gala evening that will bring together guest chefs Esteban Lluis, from the Damiana restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe, and Rodrigo Rivera Río, from Koli in Monterrey, along with hosts Thierry Blouet and Vanessa Blouet. The event will offer a signature cuisine experience where different culinary visions, techniques, and styles converge.
Meanwhile, the Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Safari, on November 18, will take participants through the restaurants El Dorado, Le Bistro, and Café des Artistes, on a tour that will allow them to explore the diverse flavors and offerings that enrich the local culinary scene.
The program also includes special experiences for those looking to combine gastronomy with a festive atmosphere. On November 21, a gourmet edition of the Drag Brunch will be held at The Top Sky Bar at Almar Resort, while in the afternoon, the Velas Vallarta hotel will host BBQ & Wine, the closing event in Puerto Vallarta.
In this final experience, chef Víctor Howard, four-time world barbecue champion, will be in charge of the grill, while VIPARMEX will present more than 60 wine labels to taste during an afternoon that combines flavors, drinks, and sunset views.
Guest Chefs and Encounters Around the Table
The Chef’s Table experiences will be another highlight of the festival, offering intimate encounters with leading figures in the culinary world, where ingredients, techniques, and creativity will take center stage.
On November 13, the Amixtli restaurant will host guest chef Javier Pérez Stone of Axiote Cocina de México, a recipient of the Bib Gourmand distinction from the MICHELIN Guide Mexico in 2024 and 2025. The following day, November 14, chef Joel Ornelas of Tintoque in Puerto Vallarta will share an experience with Klaus Mayr of Anónimo restaurant in Mexico City.
From November 18 to 20, the Elena 1927 restaurant, located in the Villa Premiere hotel, will present a menu featuring up-and-coming chefs Freddy Montero and Rogelio Domínguez, who will contribute their talent to a program celebrating the evolution and diversity of contemporary gastronomy.
In addition to bringing diners closer to renowned chefs and their creations, the festival includes meetings with culinary students, promoting the exchange of knowledge and fostering connections between new generations and professionals in the culinary industry.
