We recognize cacao as a sacred food and cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples, with special significance in Mexico as the cradle of its ancestral traditions, as well as in other regions of the world historically connected to its cultivation and use.

We seek to preserve and share the history and traditional knowledge of cacao, through the participation of elders of tradition, cacao guardians, and specialists, fostering an intercultural dialogue that keeps this legacy alive.
Local Trade and a Sustainable Cacao Economy
One of our core objectives is to strengthen local and sustainable cacao trade.
We promote the creation of meaningful connections and partnerships among local producers, artisans, chocolatiers, and contemporary projects working with Mexican cacao.
We support a territory-rooted sustainable economy that values origin, fair trade, and environmental preservation, directly benefiting the communities that cultivate and protect cacao.
Cultural Tourism and Connection to the Land
The festival offers a conscious cultural tourism experience, rooted in a deep connection to the land and its communities.
It invites national and international visitors to engage in an authentic exchange with cacao-growing communities, experiencing the traditions, knowledge, and cultural practices connected to cacao.

This Cacao and Chocolate Festival was born from love, passion, and a deep commitment to cacao, as well as to the historical, cultural, and spiritual legacy that surrounds it. It is a space for gathering, learning, and collective celebration.
During the event, we will be honored by the presence of respected elders, council members, and representatives from Indigenous communities. Their participation is an honor for everyone, and we kindly invite you to experience the festival with a respectful and sensitive attitude toward them and toward the entire community present.
With the intention of caring for the environment that welcomes us, we encourage you to generate as little waste as possible, avoid single-use plastics, and choose recyclable products. We also ask that you be mindful of shared spaces and respect the schedules of conferences and workshops, so hat everyone can fully enjoy the experience.
This is a family-friendly event, open to children as well, and we promote a loving, safe, and community- oriented atmosphere. In keeping with this spirit, we kindly ask that the space remain free from alcohol and other substances
If you wish to participate in any workshop, please register in advance. On the day of the event, a cooperative contribution will be requested to help cover the cost of materials.
