Conchas Chinas Beach is an affluent neighborhood directly south of Puerto Vallarta in the state of Jalisco, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The term Conchas Chinas means “Curled Shells,” referring to the type of shell found only on the beaches of Conchas Chinas.
Locals in Puerto Vallarta refer to Conchas Chinas as “The Hills” (as in “the Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta”). Conchas Chinas is an exclusive residential area in the hills and boasts a beautiful beach, Playa Conchas Chinas, located about 3 kilometers south of the Romantic Zone in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. It is known for its crystal-clear waters, rock formations, and tranquil atmosphere away from the crowds.

Location: South of Los Muertos Beach and the Amapas area, following Federal Highway 200 towards Barra de Navidad.
On foot: You can walk from Los Muertos Beach along the coast, passing by the El Púlpito rocks (the walk takes about 15 to 20 minutes).
By car or taxi: It’s 10 minutes from the Malecón (boardwalk). There are discreet public access points from the main road.
Landscape: Golden sand mixed with small stones and curled shells, which give the place its name.
Natural pools: The rocks form small natural pools with warm water, ideal for relaxing.
Marine life: Excellent visibility for snorkeling and seeing colorful fish.
