According to Tripadvisor’s 2024 Winter Travel Index, more than half of Americans (57%) are preparing for winter travel and 96% of them intend to travel as much or even more than last winter, planning to spend between 3 and 7 nights away from home to fully enjoy the holiday cheer.
Seasonal data from the world’s largest travel guidance platform shows that 91% will embark on trips for specific celebrations, such as festivals and holiday activities, and also highlights the most visited winter destinations for 2024, with Puerto Vallarta among the top ten choices for American travelers traveling abroad.
With this, the destination scores a great end to the year in the preferences of users of the popular travel site, since at the beginning of 2024 it achieved to be among the “Top 10 destinations in Mexico” of the Travelers’ Choice Awards that reward the best of the best in the tourism industry.
