New Hotels coming to Riviera Nayarit

The Zel brand, created by Rafa Nadal and Meliá, has taken an important step in its international expansion by signing the construction of a hotel in the picturesque town of Sayulita, Bahía de Banderas. This new establishment, which will have 145 rooms and will be located on the beachfront, is set to open in 2025.

The CEO of Meliá Hotels International, Gabriel Escarrer, has expressed his enthusiasm for this new project, highlighting that the debut of Zel in Mexico marks the beginning of an exciting global adventure that will bring the essence of the Mediterranean to exclusive destinations around the world.

The new ME by Meliá is also expected to be added this year in Sayulita, with 125 rooms and villas. This will be the brand’s third luxury lifestyle establishment in Mexico, joining ME Cabo and the future ME Guadalajara.

The arrival of Zel and ME by Meliá to Sayulita is part of an ambitious hotel development plan in the Riviera Nayarit. The construction of 14 new hotels is expected, some of them belonging to renowned chains such as Grupo Vidanta, Grupo Velas, Grupo City Express, Hampton Inn, Belmond Hotels, Rosewood Hotels, Grupo Marival, Grupo Paradise, Grupo Petrom, Grupo Villas, Grupo CMQ, OMNI, Susurros del Corazón and One&Only Mandarina, which will add to the tourist attraction of the region until 2027.

The arrival of these prestigious brands to the Riviera Nayarit confirms the growing interest of the hotel industry in this region of Mexico, consolidating it as a first-class tourist destination at an international level.

The luxury chain Belmond has signed a contract with the company Cora Pacific Development, led by businesswomen Barbara Machen and Rosetta Getty, for the management of the Milaroca hotel, located in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico. https://www.belmond.com/

The hotel will feature 57 rooms and 27 residences. Some rooms will also have private plunge pools. It is expected to open in 2025.

The building will also feature six restaurants, which will use ingredients from the property’s organic farm, four swimming pools, a spa and a retail outlet.
