Your usual tour starts with Mexican Coffee and Bread in the morning depending of the provider at 9 or 10 am, at the Marine Terminal. You then board one of our boats for the rest of your continental breakfast, consisting of fruit with yogurt, granola and orangeade on board. Leaving port, you cruise along the bay arriving at the beautiful Los Arcos Underwater National Park where our crew will provide you with a mask, snorkel & life jacket, and a demonstration of the snorkeling activity for beginners. Here you will enjoy your snorkeling experience as you explore the beautiful undersea marine life and colorful coral (200 pesos or 20 U.S. dollars or an ID or room key will be required as a deposit for the gear). The Parque Nacional Los Arcos is a beautiful group of islands where you will enjoy snorkeling and see a large variety of fish, turtles, moray eels, manta rays, and during the winter months (November through March) the Humpback Whales which come to Puerto Vallarta for breeding and birthing (and fooling around).

Quimixto

The snorkeling should work up your appetite for your next stop, which includes lunch at Las Animas Beach, a charming private beach only accessible by boat. You can swim, parasail, have your photo taken with the local iguana, hike or just relax in the sun or shade. Enjoy a leisurely lunch from 2:00 to 4:00 (drinks not included) with your choice of grilled fish, broiled chicken, chicken fajitas, hamburgers, grilled meat or quesadillas. Take this time to enjoy activities such as football, beach volleyball, kayaks, and some optional (extra) activities such as the Adventure Park with ziplines,

and riding the banana boats or the wave runners. All food is included with your tour.

The other option is, instead of disembarking at Las Animas, you remain on the cruise boat for more fun and a short cruise to the village of Quimixto, a typical fishing village. The main attraction here is the inland waterfall; rent a horse (optional about 20 USD) or hike approximately 30 minutes through the lush jungle to reach this beautiful oasis where you can swim in the cool, fresh water and discover the waterfront restaurant where you can buy snacks, refreshments or cocktails. Returning from the waterfall the boat will take you back to Las Animas Beach where you will stay only 30 minutes to eat or enjoy the beach, while the guests that stayed on the beach will board the boat for the return to Puerto Vallarta.

Las Caletas is, pure and simple, a paradise tropical beach hideaway and Mexico’s own Garden of Eden. Rich in tropical wildlife and filled with scenic vistas to spare, this secluded nature preserve is a paradise unlike any other.

The natural beauty of Las Caletas was originally discovered along the Riviera Nayarit by famous film director John Huston, who made it his private home for many years. Accessible only by sea, Las Caletas is surrounded by a steep, jungle-clad mountain backdrop, making it a truly secluded tropical sanctuary.

Yelapa

Ready to spend a relaxing day in the south part of the bay and experience a little bit of the coastal life of Mexico? Then you won’t want to miss out on this amazing tour that lets you explore the small fishing town of Yelapa.

Yelapa Mexico, just south of Puerto Vallarta and only accessible by boat, is home to a small fishing community and is a must-see destination for those traveling to Puerto Vallarta.

Upon your arrival, you can choose to spend your time at the beach or take a scenic hike through the town of Yelapa, admiring its unique views that combine the beach, the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains and the Yelapa river, as well as the numerous colorful artwork pieces that adorn its pathways and staircases.

Your day would not be complete without lunch, open bar on board, and the liveliest ambiance on your way back, thanks to the entertainment show performed by our boat crew.

The Bay of Banderas is home to two of the most picturesque coves of the Mexican Pacific: Yelapa and Majahuitas, located just south of Puerto Vallarta.

Home to sandy beaches, warm ocean waters, and tropical wildlife both on land and in the sea, Yelapa and Majahuitas are everything you’d imagine when you think of a tropical destination.

Cruise with us past picturesque coastal scenery, where dolphin encounters and (in winter) humpback whale sightings are common occurrences, to an area accessible only by sea. Once on land, take a scenic hike in the lively Yelapa.

Our tour will allow you to freely stroll through the town’s hilly narrow roads and pathways, which offer views to spare of the river, the beach, and the tropical vegetation that cover the foothills of the Sierra Madre, where Yelapa is located. Expressive murals and tile artwork cover some of its walls and staircases, making the hike an Instagram-worthy experience.

You will find street vendors with colorful displays of arts & crafts, hand-made pieces, and souvenirs, as well as others offering a local famous dessert simply known as the “Yelapa pie”, made of tropical fruits such as banana, coconut, or lime.

If you don’t feel like walking, it’s always a good idea just to chill at one of the traditional beach restaurants, with a beer or a tropical drink on hand, while you enjoy the views of the fishing boats floating on Yelapa’s warm waters.
