The inauguration comes amidst a boom in nautical tourism in Puerto Vallarta, with more than 558,000 participants expected in 2025 and an estimated 600,000 annual visitors to sites such as Muelle de los Muertos, Marina Vallarta, Mismaloya, and Costa Careyes.

To strengthen maritime connectivity and boost nautical tourism in the region, the Vallarta Ferry was inaugurated. This vessel is designed to offer a modern, safe, and efficient service, expanding transportation options and tourist experiences in Puerto Vallarta.

The Vallarta Ferry has begun operations with a capacity for 400 passengers and a route connecting Puerto Mágico, Muelle de los Muertos, and Yelapa, with trips lasting an hour and a half, three times a week.
