Puerto Vallarta Strengthens Its Presence in Canada
The destination conducted a promotional tour to train travel agents in central and western Canada.

With the goal of strengthening its position in the Canadian market ahead of the upcoming fall-winter season, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust held a series of training seminars in Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary, which brought together 125 travel agents interested in learning more about the Jalisco destination’s tourism offerings.

Representatives from the Buenaventura Grand, Delfín, Grand Miramar, El Pescador, Hacienda Buenaventura, Hyatt Ziva, Krystal Puerto Vallarta, Krystal Grand, Las Alamandas, Plaza Pelícanos, Plaza Pelícanos Grand, Puerto de Luna, Rosita, Sheraton Buganvilias, Sunset Plaza, The Hacienda at Krystal Grand, and Villa Premiere hotels participated in these promotional sessions, sharing with travel advisors the latest news and promotions available for the upcoming seasons.
Westjet Vacations, a strategic partner in marketing Puerto Vallarta in Canada, also participated, reinforcing the importance of the destination within its travel portfolio.
Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary are considered natural markets for Puerto Vallarta thanks to the direct connectivity offered by Sunwing, Westjet, and Flair airlines. These airlines increase flight frequencies during the winter season, facilitating the arrival of visitors seeking a world-class sun and sand destination.

During the training sessions, it was emphasized that Puerto Vallarta offers a unique visitor experience, with its combination of dreamy beaches, the charm of its historic center, a vibrant cultural life, and a wide range of ecotourism activities in the Sierra Madre Mountains and Banderas Bay.
Although attendees were already familiar with the destination, this was a great opportunity to update them and strengthen their relationship. Additionally, participants were encouraged to take advantage of the Puerto Vallarta Specialist online training program, a free tool for agents to continue strengthening their knowledge until they become experts in the destination.
These actions are part of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust’s international promotion strategy, which aims to maintain a close relationship with travel advisors, provide them with up-to-date tools to boost their sales, and, at the same time, reaffirm the port’s position as one of Mexico’s most comprehensive and attractive beach destinations.
