Vineyards in the Ribera de Chapala
El Tejón Vineyard

78 kilometers from Guadalajara, El Tejón Vineyard is a must-see destination for wine tourism enthusiasts, located in San Luis Soyotlán, in the Ribera de Chapala region. Founded by Serapio Ruiz Rivera and his wife, Lupita Amezcua, this vineyard allows visitors to immerse themselves in the art of grape cultivation and wine making.
Here you can participate in the grape harvest, enjoy guided tours, and organize special events for a unique experience. With more than 20,000 plants, some 25 years old, El Tejón cultivates varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Garnacha Blanca, Viura, Malvasía, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec.

Finca La Estramancia Vineyard

Finca La Estramancia is a boutique vineyard located on the slopes of Cerro de la Mujer Dormida, on the southern shore of Lake Chapala, 82 kilometers from Guadalajara.
This vineyard is the dream come true of Gerardo Torres, who was inspired by the vines of the Rhine River region in Germany.
Finca la Estramancia offers private and group tours that include tastings and vineyard tours. It grows Malbec, Tempranillo, and Syrah grapes to produce rosé, red, and sparkling wines.
Location: Kilometer 75.6 of the Guadalajara-Jiquilpan Highway, San Nicolás, Tuxcueca, Jalisco.
Cava Post Data
Cava Post Data, located in the municipality of Tuxcueca, is located on volcanic soil and takes advantage of its location to harvest two grapes per year.
Founded in 2017, this vineyard produces varieties such as Shiraz, Tempranillo, Malbec, Garnacha Tinta and Blanca, Malvasía, and Viura.
Cava Post Data focuses on the production of limited-edition artisanal wines. It offers tastings by appointment, as well as white, rosé, and red wine sales. It is located 92 kilometers from Guadalajara.

Vineyards in the Highlands of Jalisco

Altos Norte Vinícola Vineyard
Altos Norte Vinícola is located on the Hacienda San José de Tepozán, in Encarnación de Díaz; it began in 2016 with a regenerative viticulture model. With four hectares of production, they cultivate grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Albariño.
This vineyard is known for its natural and sparkling wines, even winning a gold medal at the Brussels World Competition in 2022. They offer tasting and sampling experiences, as well as guided tours. It is located between Lagos de Moreno and Aguascalientes, about two hours from Guadalajara.

Cerca Blanca Vineyard
In Jalostotitlán, Cerca Blanca Vineyard began in 2014 with three hectares and grew to eleven hectares in 2019. They grow a wide variety of grapes such as Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and more.
During July and August, they host “Harvest Festivals” where visitors can participate in the harvest and enjoy traditional festivities. It is about a two-hour drive from Guadalajara.

Tierra de Origen Winery
Tierra de Origen Winery, located in Valle de Guadalupe, in the highlands of Jalisco, opened in 2017 with three hectares of family vineyards. They grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec.
It is expected to be open to the public in 2025, offering a complete wine tourism experience.

Tierra de Luz Hacienda Vinícola
Tierra de Luz Hacienda Vinícola, in Lagos de Moreno, is located in the historic Hacienda Jaramillo de Abajo. Founded in 2015, it offers an ideal setting to enjoy wines, delicious meals, and various activities such as tastings, guided tours, and photo shoots.

Bodegas Varaduz
Located in Unión de San Antonio, Bodegas Varaduz established an eight-hectare plantation in 2014, cultivating varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Moscatel.
Its wines reflect the family’s essence and dedication to the land. Currently, they are sold online and at select retail locations.
