Rincón de Guayabitos Trip from Puerto Vallarta “HIDDEN BEACH TOWNS!”
Looking for an easy and beautiful day trip from Puerto Vallarta? We explored the stunning beach towns of Rincón de Guayabitos, Los Ayala, and La Peñita de Jaltemba, all located inside the protected waters of Jaltemba Bay (Ensenada de Jaltemba) and they did not disappoint!
These laid-back coastal towns are known for their long sandy beaches, calm swimmable water, and small-town Mexico charm. Just a short boat ride from shore are two incredible islands, Isla del Cangrejo (Crab Island) and Isla Coral, where you can snorkel in crystal-clear water and see colorful marine life up close.
We also found boat tours offering whale watching (in season), island hopping, snorkeling trips, and scenic cruises. On land, the local economy is powered by tourism, fishing, and farming, which means fresh seafood and authentic Mexican food are everywhere.
If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta and want to explore beyond the city, this is one of the best Riviera Nayarit day trips you can take!
