Puerto Vallarta Parade Day Of The Dead 2025 Puerto Vallarta The Nov. 2, 2025 event marked one of the largest turnouts in the city’s history for the annual “Remember Me Festival,” highlighted by the unveiling of what officials described as the world’s largest Catrina — the elegant skeletal figure symbolic of Mexico’s Day of the Dead tradition.
Puerto Vallarta is renowned for its cultural flair and the Day of the Dead Festival, having achieved global recognition in 2022 and 2023 with the Guinness World Records title for the “Tallest Calavera Catrina in the World” on the Malecon boardwalk, standing over 75 feet tall and adorned with more than 80 giant “calaveras de azúcar” (sugar skulls) and “ofrendas” (memorial altars).
Highlights of Day of the Dead Festival in Puerto Vallarta include heartfelt visits to local cemeteries, accompanied by Mariachi music and vendors offering colorful marigold flowers and traditional Mexican delicacies.
