Puerto Vallarta reaffirmed its position as a leading destination in public services and environmental health.
SEAPAL Vallarta, the water utility successfully renewed its Certification of Sanitary Condition of the Water Supply System and Quality for Human Use for 35 consecutive years. This distinction, issued by the Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks of the State of Jalisco (COPRISJAL), makes the municipality the only one in the entire state to maintain this certification uninterruptedly.
The certification officially guarantees strict compliance with Mexican Official Health Standards, confirming that the water distributed in both the hotel zone and surrounding neighborhoods meets the physicochemical and microbiological parameters suitable for consumption.
Furthermore, the certification programs have been comprehensively extended to the water supply systems of the Las Palmas district and the Ecoterra residential development, providing sanitary assurance to rural areas and the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta.

To ensure the accuracy of these indicators, SEAPAL’s internal laboratory conducts daily sampling and monitoring at wells, water treatment plants, and residential water connections.
These assessments are validated by external laboratories accredited by the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA), which independently audit that the water flows remain free of bacteriological or chemical risks, reinforcing the sanitary standards that give this tourist port its international prestige
