Porter Airlines will begin operations in the destination, flying from three Canadian cities beginning next fall/winter season.
At the beginning of the summer, Porter Airlines announced its first flights to Puerto Vallarta from three major airports in Canada: Toronto Pearson International Airport, Ottawa International Airport, and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
Porter Airlines will fly to Puerto Vallarta
For the first time in its history, the Canadian airline will fly outside of Canada and the United States. After in-depth analysis of the different markets, one of the destinations selected for expansion due to its great potential was Puerto Vallarta.
Porter Airlines is a low-cost airline that includes premium amenities even in economy class, which has positioned it in the North American market. According to the announcement made by the company’s president, Kevin Jackson, these added values, coupled with its high service standards, will also be present on its new international routes.
“This is a significant step forward for those who want to fly Porter to more places and enjoy our service focused on making flying a pleasant experience for economy travelers… That’s why people love Porter and why they’ll enjoy flying with us into the sun,” Jackson stated.
The new routes will launch on November 14 from Toronto Pearson with three weekly flights, on December 13 from Ottawa with two weekly flights, and on December 18 from Hamilton, also with two weekly flights.
Porter is the only airline that will offer direct flights from Hamilton to Puerto Vallarta. Its schedule complements Air Transat’s network in the region. As partners, they jointly offer travelers more options for destinations, travel dates, and frequencies.
These new routes will be operated on 132-passenger Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, representing 3,696 new monthly seats to Puerto Vallarta. With a two-by-two configuration, there are no middle seats on any Porter flight. All fares include complimentary premium Canadian snacks, free beer, and wine.
Passengers also enjoy free, fast Wi-Fi with speeds that allow for multiple devices, and the ability to create their own entertainment through streaming subscriptions.
Priority check-in, seats with extra legroom, premium cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals are also available with the all-inclusive PorterReserve fare or can be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic.
With this new commercial alliance, Puerto Vallarta strengthens its connectivity with Canada, reaching 17 direct routes from the country of maple trees through six airlines: Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Sunwing, Air Transat, Westjet, and now also Porter Airlines.
