We inform the media:
The Puerto Vallarta School Orchestra is a non-profit Civil Association whose purpose is to “build better citizens through music”, that is why we focus on providing a socio-formative program with a musical approach aimed at children, adolescents and young people. After 12 years of experience, the OEPV counts more than 5 thousand beneficiaries belonging to the most popular colonies of Puerto Vallarta.

We are aware that not all those who have gone through OEPV will be professional musicians, in fact the vast majority of them choose other careers, but what we are sure of is that, whatever their career or occupation, all of them now have a positive impact on our society because participating in our socio-educational program not only provides them with musical skills, but also awakens their participative leadership in favor of the social development of Puerto Vallarta, in addition to providing them with tools to develop emotional intelligence. However, paying special attention to those who did choose to become professional musicians, we have several success stories, from current students who are still part of OEPV and already have an excellent instrumental level, former students who are studying at different conservatories in Mexico and professional trainers or former trainers who have been in charge of music teaching for 12 years. They all have in common that at some point they were part of the OEPV program and that music is still an important factor in their lives.

We have brought together these success stories to take a further step in musical demand and collaboration, which is one of the most important values they learned at OEPV. Today we are pleased to give you the happy news of the creation of a new group with an excellent musical level: the Camerata de Puerto Vallarta. Unlike the OEPV Children’s and Youth Orchestra, the Camerata is a smaller chamber ensemble, and besides age, which is another distinguishing factor, it is also worth noting that the Camerata exhibits a higher musical level than the Children’s and Youth Orchestra.
As of today, you can see this Camerata at different social, business, political, or even religious events to liven up with its repertoire and “build better citizens through music”

ACTIVITY AGENDA OF THE CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH ORCHESTRA OF THE OEPV

November 1: Concert at the Malecón Arches, “Remember Me” event
organized by the Puerto Vallarta City Council and the Vallarta Institute of Culture, the appointment is at 8:30 pm in the amphitheater of the Arches of Puerto Vallarta.
November 9: Closing concert of the event organized by the Library of los Mangos: “Celebration of Letters – 2024”, the appointment is at 7:30 pm in the Library facilities. • November 23: Opening Concert by Maestro Raúl Di Blasio, “the piano of America,” the event is at the Teatro Vallarta at 8:00 pm and tickets can be purchased through the physical and virtual box office of the Teatro Vallarta.
