Puerto Vallarta is ready to take an important step towards better maritime connectivity with Nayarit and Cabo Corrientes. Starting in 2025, construction will begin on the Las Peñas Pier, an ambitious project that will strengthen tourism and facilitate access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the region, such as Las Ánimas, Quimixto and Boca de Tomatlán.
The new pier will be located in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood, at the height of República de Chile Street, just three blocks from the start of the boardwalk. This project will include not only the pier, but also an additional boardwalk, offering recreational space for locals and visitors.
With an investment of 430 million pesos, the Las Peñas Pier seeks to become a key point to boost economic growth, attract tourists and strengthen the maritime infrastructure of Puerto Vallarta. Mobility between Jalisco and Nayarit will be more agile, allowing a unique experience for those who wish to explore the coast by sea.
This project will not only contribute to tourism development, but will also reinforce Puerto Vallarta’s identity as one of the most important destinations in Mexico. With this new infrastructure, it is expected to facilitate access to the region’s natural gems, promoting sustainable and responsible tourism.
