Mexico Ministry of Tourism has released the list of the 45 new Magical Towns that join the program. And Nayarit has five new destinations. Know which ones they are!

Today there are already 177 destinations that have the name of Magical Town. Miguel Torruco Marqués, head of the Ministry of Tourism, led a press conference in which the integration of 45 new destinations into the program that began 22 years ago was announced. Likewise, the five new Magical Towns of Nayarit were announced: Ahuacatlán, Amatlán de Cañas, Ixtlán del Río, San Blas and Puerto Balleto. Nayarit is a state that has been increasing its tourist offer in recent years. Ahuacatlan

You will fall in love with this charming town due to its colonial architecture. It still retains the charm of the past and its residents are very friendly, always welcoming visitors with open arms. Here you will be able to visit buildings such as the temple of San Francisco de Asís, the Municipal Palace, the House of Culture and the temple of the Immaculate Conception.

Amatlan de Canas

This beautiful town is located south of Nayarit. Its streets are cobbled and its adobe houses and reddish roofs stand out. In its historic center is the Temple of Jesus Nazareno dating from 1750 and the Municipal Palace from the 19th century. In the surroundings there are hot springs.

Ixtlan del Rio

This destination has all the services of a city and with the charm and tradition of a small town. It is very close to one of the most important archaeological sites in the region, Los Toriles. One of its most famous attractions is the hill of Cristo Rey, where parishioners gather during the last week of October.

San Blas

Its beaches, its mangroves, gastronomy, diversity and tradition make San Blas a unique port in the entire Mexican Pacific. It is ideal to enjoy the benefits of the sea or have a surf session. You can explore the estuaries of up to 20 kilometers of land inside the jungle and observe the flora and fauna.

Puerto Balleto, Marias Islands

This new port was developed in the archipelago of the federal expression of the Islas Marías. Here are attractions such as the Temple of Guadalupe, the House of the Nun and the Plaza Juárez.
