Costalegre stands as the most significant tourist, environmental and social development project in the Mexican Pacific, unfolding an ambitious growth plan. Here, a tapestry of beaches, capes, and bays weaves along the coasts of Jalisco and Colima, creating a singular stage of beauty.
An unprecedented project in Mexico is being built south of Puerto Vallarta: Mayto, the country’s first astrological park, a tourism and residential development that fuses spirituality, symbolic architecture, and environmental awareness. This complex is located in the coastal community of the same name and is emerging as a high-profile destination due to its thematic approach and unique infrastructure.
The project includes the construction of twelve residential towers, called zodiac temples, one for each sign of the zodiac. Each temple will house 40 themed residences, for a total of 480 residences, in addition to 400 hotel rooms. The Virgo Temple is currently under construction, with delivery scheduled for June 2027.
The project is being led by businessman Leo Arturo Jiménez Romero, who explained that the idea arose in the midst of the pandemic, in 2021. “We respect the name of the beach: Mayto. That’s also the name of the development. But what truly makes it unique is that it has a private airport within the complex, something very rare in this type of project,” he emphasized.
The official opening of the airport is scheduled for June 20, which will also mark the launch of the zodiac hotel and the laying of the cornerstone of the first temple-residence. Jiménez explained that marketing began in March 2024, and thanks to advance sales without credit, the first phase was fully financed.
“The first challenge was economic; we didn’t have any money. Negotiating the land contribution was also difficult. Another challenge was obtaining permits for the airport, but the stars aligned. We even managed to resolve the supply of drinking water and electricity,” he explained.
Beyond its residential and tourist components, Mayto seeks to leave a legacy. The architectural design emphasizes timelessness and symbolic narrative. “When we say temples instead of towers, it’s because you’ll literally see a structure with identity, designed to last and tell stories. We don’t sell square meters, we sell meaning,” Jiménez added.
In addition to its spiritual and architectural offering, the astrological park incorporates natural attractions such as a turtle hatchery where, for 10 months of the year, sea turtles are released, open to visitors. It also includes a social component that boosts the local economy by supporting fishermen and producers of raicilla, the region’s traditional beverage.

Leo Jiménez, a 30-year-old visionary, is the creator of the world’s first astrological park, located in Mayto, Jalisco, Mexico.
