Cempasúchil (Marigolds): The bright orange “flower of the dead” has a strong scent and vivid color used to guide spirits back to their altars.

Calaveras (Sugar Skulls): Decorative skulls made of sugar or clay representing the sweetness of life and the lighthearted perspective on mortality.
