As part of its international promotional efforts for the North American market, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, in conjunction with the Jalisco State Tourism Secretariat and the Guadalajara Visitors and Conventions Bureau, held “Jalisco is Mexico” seminars in the state of California.
The sessions took place in the cities of San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento, three strategic markets for Puerto Vallarta that have direct air connections to the Jalisco destination.
During the tour, more than 90 travel advisors received updated information about the port’s tourism offerings, strengthening their knowledge and sales tools in preparation for the upcoming fall-winter season.
As part of the program, trade shows were also held, featuring representatives from Puerto Vallarta’s tourism industry and strategic partners. These events provided opportunities to strengthen relationships with industry professionals and showcase the destination’s latest offerings.
The delegation included representatives from the following hotels: Barceló, Blue Chairs, Buenaventura Grand, Costa Sur, El Pescador, Hacienda Buenaventura, Hotel Eloísa, Hotel Rosita, Krystal Puerto Vallarta, Krystal Grand, Plaza Pelícanos, Plaza Pelícanos Grand, Posada de Roger, Sunset Plaza, and Villa Premiere. Airlines Aeroméxico and Volaris also participated, presenting their accommodation and connectivity options to attendees.
Puerto Vallarta offers direct flights to San Francisco with Alaska Airlines and United Airlines, and during the winter season, flights to San Jose and Sacramento with Alaska Airlines, facilitating access for travelers from Northern California to one of Mexico’s most important beach destinations.
During the seminars, the destination’s wide range of hotels, the diverse experiences offered by its natural surroundings, and the vast array of sea and mountain activities available to visitors were highlighted, in addition to its renowned gastronomy, hospitality, and rich cultural heritage.
With these initiatives, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust continues to strengthen its position in the North American market and reaffirms its commitment to providing ongoing training to travel advisors, equipping them with the tools to market the destination more effectively and encourage more visitors.
